Resort Description

Staying at an on-site WDW resort has many benefits. Some of these include: unlimited use of the WDW transportation system, buses, boats and the monorail (great for taking that much needed afternoon break/swim/nap), free parking if you are driving your own vehicle to the parks, early park entry on selected mornings, free parcel delivery to your room, and of course, being part of the magic 24 hours a day. For those on a budget, the All Star Music Resort is an affordable option. Where else can you walk through a neon-lit jukebox or a giant Broadway theatre marquee? The All Star Music themes are country, Broadway, jazz, rock and calypso. Other giant pop art icons featured here are a 3 story high pair of cowboy boots (size 270 no less!), a conga drum shaped stairwell, giant guitars and trombone player silhouettes on the roof line. Rumor has it that if you check out the musical notes on the curtains and wallpaper, you can play "Name that Tune"!

ROOMS: The rooms at the All Stars are slightly smaller than those at the moderate resorts (260 square feet, as opposed to 314 square feet). A typical room has 2 double beds, a small table with 2 chairs, a small key operated safe, a TV, a dresser and a clock radio. The bathrooms have a single sink and mirror in a vanity area that is separate from the tub and commode. Some rooms with a king size bed are also available. These are handicap accessible rooms and therefore have larger bathrooms with no tub, but a wheel-chair accessible shower instead.

TIP: For a room in a quieter area that is close to the food court and bus stop, choose the Jazz Inn. The Calypso buildings 1 and 10 are the closest to Melody Hall (food court and bus stop area).

Check-in time is 4 p.m. and check-out is 11 a.m. However, you may request a late check-out time of 1 p.m., but this should be done upon your arrival. If there are more than 2 adults in a room, there is an additional charge of $10 per adult, per night.

DINING: There is not a sit down restaurant here, but there is the 500 seat "Intermission Food Court". Pizza, pasta, sandwiches, hamburgers, rotisserie chicken, barbecue ribs, baked goods, kids' favorites (macaroni and cheese, chicken fingers) and "Blue Plate" specials are the featured fare here. Hours are usually from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Room service is limited to pizza, salads, soft drinks and beer, and this may be ordered from 5 p.m. to midnight.

POOLS/RECREATION: The two main pools are shaped like a guitar (complete with the 3 Caballeros shooting water in the middle) and a piano (with a keyboard deck). There are showers and change rooms at each of these pool areas. There is not a Jacuzzi here.  A jogging path, the Note'able Games video arcade in Melody Hall, and children's playgrounds can be found around the Resort as well.
