DREAMS UNLIMITED TRAVEL ANNOUNCES STRONG GROWTH
IN 2001
Blackwood,
NJ - Dreams Unlimited Travel, one of the internet's
largest providers of Disney vacation travel, announced
today that first quarter earnings exceeded expectations
by more than 90%. "We knew that we were poised
for strong growth in 2001, but never imagined
it would be quite as good as it has been,"
said Peter Werner, Dreams founder and Chief Executive
Officer. "The growth we've had is amazing,
but the fact that it has taken place during a
slow down in the travel industry speaks volumes
about our product."
The Orlando vacation market is experiencing its
slowest period in more than six years, with many
hoteliers reporting a drop of more than 60% in
occupancy over the same period last year. Despite
the slow down, Dreams continues to aggressively
promote Orlando as a destination, and company
executives are actively considering expanding
in to other markets. "The response our customers
have had to our service has been overwhelming,
and many of our clients have asked us to add more
destinations to our offerings," said John
Magi, President and Chief Information Officer
for Dreams. "We know our business model is
solid, and the time may come when we will look
to expand in to other tourist destinations."
Founded in November of 1999, Dreams Unlimited
Travel has become one of the top single site producers
of Disney vacations in the world.
