| Welcome to first day of the Dreams Unlimited Travel Video Trivia Challenge.
Today, we feature beautiful Venice Beach, CA. Located about 40 miles from the Disneyland resort, Venice Beach offers a unique look into California's more artistic side. The winding paths that hug the coast line are full of interesting shops, plenty of street performers doing everything from juggling to snake charming, and lots of people jogging and bike riding. As with just about any beach in California, there's plenty of volleyball and surfing. And, if you want to work out with the big boys, there's an outdoor gym at Muscle Beach.

 Dream Team Comments:

Pete - The best word I can use to describe Venice Beach is FUNKY. Lot's of wild shops, and some really good italian sausage :) Watch out in some of the t-shirt shops - the content on some of the t-shirts may not be suitable for all ages. Julie - Venice Beach was the first beach town that we visited, but for me it was the first time I laid eyes on the Pacific Ocean !  Right away I felt a connection with this laid back, surfers' paradise.  The pier offered a great view of the 50 or so surfers that dotted the shoreline; and, it was full of locals having their morning coffee or walking their dog as well as visitors like ourselves.  I would have to say that my favorite aspect of  Venice was the eclectic mix of people and shops, where I found a great pair of pineapple sunglasses.
