Please note: except where noted, shore excursions are operated by independent contractors. All excursions are subject to cancellation due to weather, itinerary changes and attendance. Adventures by Jeep (3.5 - 4 hours)
Meet your guides and receive a tour briefing and safety information. Note: Guests must be 21 years of age or older and present a valid driver's license in order to drive. Each Jeep (manual transmissions only) accommodates up to 4 Guests and parties may be separated. Driving duties may be shared.
Set out on an approximate 75-minute drive to the beach where roads may be bumpy at times, but lush jungle and turquoise seascapes abound.
Arrive at the beach and enjoy approximately 80 minutes of free time where you can relax, swim and soak up the sun.
Enjoy a Mexican-style buffet with fajitas, chips, salsa and fruit, included in the price of your tour.
Re-board your 4x4 vehicles and travel back to the pier through the village of Mahahual.

ATV, Jungle & Beach Adventure (3 -3.5 hours)
Begin your adventure meeting your bilingual guide and boarding your Kodiak truck for a 20-minute transfer. Note: Guests must be 21 years of age or older and present a valid driver’s license in order to drive.
Arrive at the welcome station and receive a safety briefing and instructions on how to operate the ATV.
Hop on your one-person ATV; after a short ride get off the road and into the trails. Enjoy the approximate 50-minute ride through winding, narrow rustic paths filled withtropical vegetation.
Follow the coastline and arrive at a beautiful, secluded beach, where you can relax and swim for approximately one hour.
Re-board the Kodiak truck and travel back to the pier.
- Guests must be ambulatory. Wheelchairs (collapsible or electric) are not permitted. Tour operators will deny participation to Guests arriving in wheelchairs or electric scooters.
- Expectant mothers, Guests with diabetes, heart conditions or on any form of blood pressure medication are not allowed to participate for safety reasons.

Beach Power Snorkel (4 - 4.5 hours)
Meet your bi-lingual guide, board a Kodiak truck and embark on an approximate 50-minute drive to the coastline of one of Costa Maya's best dive and snorkel sites.
Receive your in-depth instructions on how to operate your Sea Doo Scooter and snorkel equipment by your certified dive master.
Set off with your guide to enjoy the incredible views that lie just below the water's surface. Glide near the surface—faster than you can swim—and dive down to take a closer look. Your aqua scooter glides you along the reef, passing sea fan, coral and an array of amazing marine life.
After an approximate 50-minute snorkeling experience, enjoy approximately one hour of free time at a private beach, playing volleyball, beachcombing or just relaxing under the sun.

Bike & Clear-Bottom Kayak (3 - 3.5 hours)
Meet your guides at the pier for the orientation and safety briefing. The guides will assign safety gear and bicycles, adjust them to your comfort and then it’s time to mount up and begin the adventure.
Ride south for approximately 30 minutes along breathtaking coastline views as you make your way to the sleepy fishing village of Mahahual.
Arrive at a local beach after your leisure ride, where your kayaking experience will begin. After a short rest, board a 2—person kayak and head out to the blue sea waters of the Caribbean.
Paddle along a nearby reef for approximately 60 minutes and enjoy the view of beaches lined with palm trees under the golden sun and the underwater through the clear—bottom kayak.
Return to the beach, gear up and start the ride back to the pier, taking in the many views of the beautiful stretches of sand.
- Guests must weigh 240 lbs or less in order to participate. Maximum combined weight of both passengers and kayak may not exceed 900 lbs.

Catamaran & Snorkel (3 - 3.5 hours)
Travel approximately 15 minutes aboard an air-conditioned bus through the picturesque Fisherman's village of Mahahual and be welcomed aboard the Mayan Wind Catamaran at the Fisherman's pier.
Travel on the catamaran approximately 45 minutes south of the village away from the Costa Maya Port along the scenic coastline to your snorkeling location.
Receive a safety briefing by the PADI qualified Guides and snorkel equipment: mask, fins, new tube and life vest. Enjoy approximately 45 minutes of guided snorkeling amidst tropical fish and colorful marine life.
Get back on the Catamaran to refresh with beverages (bottled water, soft drinks, beer) included on your tour.
Enjoy the view of the Caribbean waters while the Capitan navigates the Catamaran back to the Fisherman's pier.

Chaccohoben Mayan Ruins (4 - 4.5hours)
Travel approximately one hour aboard an air-conditioned motor coach, while you listen to interesting facts of the Yucatan Peninsula and the region of Costa Maya, presented by your guides.
Arrive at Chacchoben Mayan Ruins, "The Place of Red Corn" and take a walk with your knowledgeable guide for approximately 105 minutes around the archeological site. Note: This tour includes approximately 0.8 miles of walking at a steady pace, part of which will be on cobblestones, uneven terrain, uphill, including stairs. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
Learn the fascinating history about the Mayans, climb the ruins and take unforgettable pictures.
Refresh with some beverages (bottled water and soft drinks) included in the tour. At the end, have approximately 15 minutes to purchase souvenirs and handcrafts at the local market.
Re-board the motor coach and travel back to the pier.

Costa Maya Beach Snorkel (4 - 4.5 hours)
Meet your bilingual guide, board your transportation and embark on an approximate 50—minute ride to the coastline of one of Costa Maya’s best dive and snorkel sites.
Receive your snorkel gear and in-depth instructions and safety briefing from your Padi certified guides.
Enter the water from the beach with the assistance of your guides and progress as you feel comfortable. View an incredible array of tropical marine life such as parrot fish, butterfly fish and angelfish.
Conclude the approximate one-hour snorkeling portion of your tour and enjoy approximately 50 minutes of free time to enjoy the vast stretches of pristine beaches before returning to the ship.

Costa Maya Highlights & Beach Combo (4 - 4.5 hours)
Board an air-conditioned bus and begin your adventure through the jungle on off-road trails and along the Caribbean shore. Keep your eyes open for tropical birds and resident iguanas as you travel approximately 45 minutes to the beach.
Arrive at the beach and enjoy approximately 75 minutes of free time to explore an endless stretch of the coastline, swim in the beautiful turquoise waters or partake in a volleyball game.
Savor a light snack of fresh fruits, chips, salsa and pico de gallo, included in your tour, along with with a soft drink or beer (Guests 21 and older only).
Hop back on the bus, where the adventure continues off-road and on local roads back to the town of Costa Maya. There, enjoy approximately one hour of free time to explore and peruse the local flea market.
Meet up with your group at the designated time for the return to the pier. Or, you may choose to continue your day in the town and return to the cruise ship by taxi at your own expense.

Costa Maya Salsa & Salsa (2.5 - 3 hours)
Board your transportation for an approximate 15-minute ride to a beachfront restaurant.
Learn how to make 3 authentic Mexican salsas from the freshest ingredients. Your guide will lead you during this hands-on cooking class.
Then, mix up refreshing Mexican margaritas before getting into the groove of Latin America's most famous dance—the Salsa! Follow step-by step instructions and get ready to hit the dance floor.
Enjoy the fruits of your labor (salsa, tortilla chips and up to 3 drinks included) and let kids of all ages take part in a Mexican piñata party.
Soak up the sun and splash in the ocean for approximately 75 minutes of leisure time, before returning to the pier.

Discover Scuba Dive (3.5 - 4 hours)
Meet your guides, complete all necessary paperwork and take a short, 15-minute ride through the town of Mahahual to a PADI 5-Star dive center. During the ride, the guide will share interesting facts about the town of Mahahual and point out areas of interest.
Arrive at the center and receive a short debriefing and introduction to the dive staff. Then, you'll receive your gear and suit up for the day's excursion.
Receive an approximate 45-minute introductory lesson to scuba, where you are going to learn everything needed for your 1-tank, instructor-guided scuba dive. No certifications required!
Board the dive boat for an approximate15-minute ride to the magnificent Mesoamerican Barrier Reef. This breathtaking reef is known for its beautiful corals and exotic marine life, which include sea turtles, lobsters, stingrays, seahorses and a seemingly endless variety of tropical reef fish.
Ride the boat back to the dive center. Then, return to the pier or choose to stay in town to enjoy the local culture and beautiful beaches. Note: Guests choosing to stay in town will have to return to the pier via taxi at their own expense.
- All Guests must meet the PADI Discover Scuba requirements and sign a standard waiver and medical questionnaire before participating in this adventure.

- Guests must weigh less than 300 lbs., be in good physical condition and be able to swim. All participants must complete a medical questionnaire as some restrictions do apply. Guests with heart and respiratory conditions, and those with back/neck injuries require a written statement from their physician clearing them to dive.
- This scuba dive excursion includes all equipment, including: wetsuit, BCD, regulator, mask, fins, snorkel and weights.

Dolphin Encounter (1 - 1.5 hours)
Walk from the ship to the Dolphin Center, located at the end of the pier.
Meet your guide, who will lead your through the check-in process and orientation.
Meet these friendly marine mammals during an approximate 30-minute interaction where youll touch, play with and learn about the dolphins. The program is conducted in approximately 37-inch-deep water. Guests will not swim with the dolphins on this program.
Conclude your program, check out the available photos for purchase and enjoy the rest of your visit to Costa Maya.
- Children ages 3 through 12 needs to be accompanied in the water by a paying adult booked on the same experience.

Dolphin Swin (1 - 1.5 hours)
Walk from the ship to the Dolphin Center, located at the end of the pier.
Meet your guide, who will lead your through the check-in process and orientation.
Meet these friendly marine mammals during an approximate 30-minute interaction where you'll touch them, hug them and see their high jumps. Next, in deeper water, get ready for the experience of a lifetime as you swim with the dolphins and let them pull you through the water by their pectoral fins!

Dune Buggy Jungle & Beach Safari (3.5 - 4 hours)
Meet your guides and receive a safety briefing to maneuver the stick shift Buggies. Note: Guests must be 21 years of age or older with a valid driver's license to drive the vehicles. Each vehicle accommodates 4 Guests, so parties may be separated and driving duties shared.
Drive the Buggy through the scenic Fisherman's village and make a quick stop, where your guide will share some interesting facts about the region.
Continue driving for approximately 45 minutes to a secluded beach, where you may spot birds, iguanas and other wildlife along the way. Enjoy the beach break for approximately one-hour: relax under the shaded areas, take a walk, swim in the sea or play volleyball with your family and friends.
Refresh with some beverages (bottled water and soft drinks) and taste light snacks such as pico de gallo (Mexican salsa) and tortilla chips. Note: This is an alcohol-free tour due to the driving involved.

Dzibanche & Kohunlich Mayan Ruins (8 - 8.5 hours) - Select sailings only
Travel approximately 2.5 hours via air-conditioned motor coach as your guide narrates the region's Mayan history. Note: This tour includes considerable walking, part of which could be on rough or uneven surfaces. Extra caution should be taken.
Arrive at the ancient dwellings near the border of Belize and explore Dzibanché Ruins. Hidden within the jungle, this site was once known for its beautiful pottery and splendid temples. During your approximate 90—minute visit, you will have the opportunity to climb the tallest temple and get a view of the “temple of the owls” and the ‘temple of the captives.’
Re-board your motor coach and enjoy a box lunch as you travel approximately 30 minutes to your next site.
Arrive at the Kohunlich Ruins, named after the native cahoon palm tree that grows fronds up to 40—feet tall, and explore the site during an approximate 100—minute tour led by your guide. The park setting includes a sunken palace, acropolis, ball court and courtyards. But the main attraction is the masks!
Climb the pyramid-like temple to get a great view of the unique 10—feet high sculpted masks of the Sun God “Kinich Ahau” running up each side of the stairs. Built before 500 A.D., these marvelous masks still retain some of their original colored stucco. Kohunlich's broad range of architecture, natural beauty and expansive, uncrowned seclusion set it apart from the more widely toured sites.

Glass-Bottom Boat & Snorkel (2.5 - 3 hours) - Seasonal
Take a short transfer from the pier and pass through the colorful Mayan fishing village of Mahahual. You'll arrive at a beautiful beach where your adventure begins.
Board a glass-bottom boat and embark on the iridescent waters of the Caribbean. Take in the panoramic view of colorful coral reef formations and tropical fish as you travel over a beautiful reef area.
Once you admire the reef from above, put on your snorkeling gear and vest and jump in and follow your certified guide past colorful fish and coral formations on an inspiring 45-minute snorkel tour. The small group size ensures personal attention so you can relax and discover the wonders of the underwater world with your helpful guides nearby.

Jungle Beach Break (3 - 4.5 hours)
Travel approximately 40 minutes via air-conditioned bus to the north of Costa Maya and arrive at the exclusive Uvero Beach Club.
Make yourself comfortable and take advantage of the modern beach club facility with amenities such as beach volleyball, soccer pitch, beach chairs, activities staff, kayaks, flotation "noodles" and sand toys.
Enjoy a variety of beverages at the bar, included in your tour. Kids' activities and salsa lessons are also available while you stay at Uvero Beach Club.
Conclude your approximate 2 hours at the beach, board the transportation and travel back to the pier. Note: Transportation shuttles back to the port run every 45 minutes starting at 3:30pm, in case Guests decide to return earlier.

Kohunlich Mayan Ruins (6.5 - 7 hours) - Select sailings only
Travel approximately 2 hours via air-conditioned motor coach as your guide narrates about the regions Mayan history. Note: This tour includes considerable walking, part of which could be on rough or uneven surfaces. Extra caution should be taken.
Arrive at the Kohunlich Ruins, named after the native cahoon palm tree that grows fronds up to 40—feet tall, and explore the site on an approximate 135-minute tour led by your guide. The park setting includes a sunken palace, acropolis, ball court and courtyards. But the main attraction is the masks!
Climb the pyramid-like temple to get a great view of the unique 10-feet high sculpted masks of the Sun God “Kinich Ahau” running up each side of the stairs. Built before 500 A.D., these marvelous masks still retain some of their original colored stucco. Kohunlich's broad range of architecture, natural beauty and expansive, uncrowned seclusion set it apart from the more widely toured sites.

Meet your bi–lingual guide, board a Kodiak truck for a quick transfer to the welcome station. There, receive a safety briefing and instructions on how to operate your all-terrain vehicle. Note: Guests must be 21 years of age or older and present a valid driver’s license in order to drive.
Hit the road and have a blast driving these amazing vehicles. Drive along the Costa Maya coastline and rustic trails for approximately 75 minutes; enjoy your mini jeep in an off-road environment.

The Mayans Through The Ages (4 - 4.5 hours)
Meet your tour guide, board your air-conditioned transportation and travel approximately 45 minutes to a town where most locals descended from the ancient Maya.
Lean about modern Mayan culture. For those who believe that the Mayan civilization disappeared long ago, this tour shows that Mayan culture, customs, language and beliefs continue on the Yucatan Peninsula even today.
Arrive at the ruins of a Mayan site, located in the middle of the town. During this quick stop, your guide will elaborate on the history and facts of the site.
Continue with a visit to an authentic Mayan house, where you'll spend approximately 90 minutes learning about local food, ancient medicines, history, legends and Mayan culture, followed by a traditional Mayan lunch of Pibil chicken, guacamole, handmade tortillas and salsas.

Two-reef Snorkel (2.5 - 3 hours)
Take a short transfer to a lovely beach where your snorkel boat awaits.
Receive a thorough safety briefing and instruction from your guides. Then, cruise out into the crystalline waters en route to the first reef.
Jump in and follow your certified guide past colorful fish and coral formations on an inspiring snorkel tour for approximately 35 minutes.
Climb back aboard the snorkel boat, travel to the second reef and do it all again. Soft drinks and water will be served between the stops.
Return to the dock, where you'll board your transportation back to the ship, or choose to stay on the beach and return at your own expense.

Two Tank Certified Dive (4 - 4.5 hours)
Meet your guides, complete all necessary paperwork and take a short, 15-minute ride through the town of Mahahual to a PADI 5-Star dive center. During the ride, the guide will share interesting facts about the town of Mahahual and point out areas of interest. Note: Guests must provide a valid dive certification card and photo ID onboard the ship and on the day of the dive. It is recommended that you have completed at least one dive in the past 12 months.
Arrive at the center and receive a short debriefing and introduction to the dive staff. Then you'll receive your gear and suit up for the day's excursion.
Board the dive boat for an approximate 15-minute ride to the magnificent Mesoamerican Barrier Reef. This breathtaking reef is known for its beautiful corals and exotic marine life, which include sea turtles, lobsters, stingrays, dolphins and a seemingly endless variety of tropical reef fish.
Complete a short surface interval prior to performing the second tank dive.
Ride the boat back to the dive center. Then, return to the pier or choose to stay in town to enjoy the local culture and beautiful beaches. Note: Guests choosing to stay in town will have to return to the pier via taxi at their own expense.
