Benvenuto! Welcome to Italy. Upon exiting customs, you will be met by an Adventures by Disney representative who will escort you to your transfer vehicle. Relax as the driver assists with your luggage and transports you to the Gran Meliá Rome Hotel.

Visit the plaza that’s surrounded by ruins and was at the heart of public life in Rome for centuries. Located between the Palatine and Capitoline Hills, the Forum is considered one of the most important archaeological sites in the world. This ancient meeting place was where government conducted its business, commerce took place and trials, speeches and celebrations occurred.

Approach the Basilica via St. Peter's Square and marvel at this renowned example of Renaissance architecture that remains the largest church in the world. The burial place of St. Peter and many popes since, this site was originally constructed in the 4th century. The iconic dome dominates the skyline of Rome.

Private Tour of Castel Sant'Angelo*
Traverse the towering cylindrical building, once the tallest in Rome, initially commissioned by the Roman Emperor Hadrian as a mausoleum and later used as a fortress by the popes. *Please note that tours of Castel San' Angelo are subject to short-notice cancellations due to usage by the Vatican for Papal events.

Afternoon on Your Own
Explore the sites of Rome, such as the Baths of Diocletian, Palatine Hill, the home of emperors and aristocrats, or relax at a local café and enjoy some of the marvelous shops this wonderful city.

Marvel at the Basilica via St. Peter's Square—one of the largest churches in the world and a renowned example of Renaissance architecture. Initially constructed by Constantine in the early 4th century, it was rebuilt in the 16th century by Bernini, Bramante and Michelangelo. It stands on the site where the apostle Peter was crucified. Considered the first pope, he is buried under the main altar along with other popes who followed. Michelangelo's iconic dome dominates the skyline of Rome.

Travel to Orvieto, Umbria

Journey by motor coach to the glorious Umbrian countryside and visit Orvieto, a fortified medieval settlement.

Funicular to the Upper Town of Orvieto

Arrive at the funicular station in the lower town of Orvieto by motor coach. Then travel up the side of the tufa cliff over 3,280 (1000 meters) to the upper town of Orvieto, enjoying spectacular views of the Umbrian valley along the way.

Journey via motor coach to the glorious Umbrian and Tuscan countryside. Along the way, take an illuminating excursion to Orvieto, a medieval settlement crowned with the magnificent Cathedral of St John.

Revel in the quintessential Italian experience as you visit this family-owned private estate, Relais Gli Ulivi—that translates to "The Olive Orchard"—to feast on an authentic Tuscan repast featuring local food, olive oil and wine. You'll feel like part of the family as you learn to make a traditional dessert known as Torta Della Nonna—"Grandmother's Cake."

Junior Adventurers – Lawn Games & Swimming*
Fun and frolic is the order of the afternoon for kids as Adventure Guides teach them classic Italian lawn games. Swimming is also available for the kids. *Please note that pool is only open during the warm summer months.
