While the general terms and conditions found here apply, there are specific requirements for the Mediterranean Cruises that you'll need to comply with.

$700 per person for Categories 1 thru 3 NON REFUNDABLE

$500 per person for Categories 4 thru 12

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you cancel within this period: The cancellation fee is:

Categories 1-  3:

90 + Days prior to sail

Full refund MINUS the Non-Refundable deposit of $700 per person

Categories 4-12:

89 - 45 Days prior to sail

44 - 8 Days prior to sail

7 - 0 Days prior to sail

Loss of deposit and cost of insurance if purchased

50% of the total fare

100% of the total fare

INSURANCE

Vacation Protection Plan is offered for the following fee. The rates are same for the 14/11/10 night voyages:

$169 per person for the first and second guest in the stateroom, $99 per person for any additional guests

GRATUITIES

$152.50  per person for the 14 night cruise

$120.00  per person for the 11 night cruise

PASSPORTS

US and Canadian Citizens must have a valid Passport for each member of their party, including children and infants. Passports that are going to expire within 6 months of completion of the cruise will not be accepted.

DCL AIR

Air will be offered from select cities. All guests, including infants, are required to purchase a seat. Requests for Pre/Post nights will be waitlisted. Any Air Deviation requests must be submitted in writing at least 90 days prior to your vacation.

Transatlantic Sailings - One way airfare to/from Barcelona for the Transatlantic crossings will be offered from select cities in Florida

FLIGHT PLANNING

If you are flying in the day of your sailing, Disney Cruise Line recommendeds that you plan your arrival prior to 1:45pm in order to arrive in time to board by 4:00pm.

If you are flying back on the day that you return to Barcelona, you should book your flight no earlier than 10:30am

BARCELONA HOTELS

Disney Cruise Line is offering the following hotels for guests wishing to add-on a land stay in Barcelona:

  • Hausa Illa
  • Hotel Athena Mar
  • AC Barcelona
  • Grand Marina Hotel

The nightly rates average from $270 to $390.

CUSTOMS AND IMMIGRATION

When traveling from the US to Europe, you should plan to arrive 3 hours prior to your flight time. You will need to clear Customs and for the Value Added Tax to be evaluated. (You are also entitled to shop at the Duty Free Shops.)

When arriving back in the US, you must have the required documentation to reenter the country. Everyone is expected to collect their luggage and clear Customs. Note that the standard Customs Allowance is $800 in duty-free goods

VALUE ADDED TAX (VAT)

The VAT is sales tax that's applied for the purchase of goods and service

  • 15% - Standard VAT
  • 25% - Maximum VAT

Non-Europeans can collect a refund if a minimum purchase is made at one retailer. The refund can be processed at the airport or mailed within 3 months of your return. The representative for the retailer will collect a 4% processing fee

EMBARK/DISEMBARK

Guests will use Terminal C - Moll Adossat

Deck 1 will be used for embark/disembark. A number system will be used for boarding.

Boarding will be begin around 1:00pm. You must board by 4:00pm. Once you have checked in, you may leave the ship to explore Barcelona until final boarding call at 9:00pm. The ship will depart at 10:00pm

Disembarking in Barcelona will begin at 6:45am

You will go through Security when entering the terminal. When leaving, there is no immigration process. Breakfast seating will be staggered to control the flow of departure.

TRANSFERS/PARKING

TRANSATLANTIC CROSSING: For guests choosing either of the 14 day repositioning cruises, you are requested to park at the Orlando International Airport and use DCL transfers

BARCELONA: DCL transfers will be available for transportation to/from the airport/resort to the port and includes luggage handling. Please note that the reference to "Resort" is to one of the Barcelona Resorts offered as an "add-on" thru Disney Cruise Line:

LAND TRANSPORTATION

It is strongly recommended that you select a DCL shore excursion that includes your transportation. At most ports, taxis, subways and buses are available. Another option is www.raileurope.com

It is NOT recommended that you rent a car. It is often a difficult and expensive process in foreign ports

There is no onsite parking at the terminal. Guests choosing to park at the port will be directed to park at an off-site facility with the port providing shuttle buses.

While the Disney Magic is wheelchair accessible, please note that many shops/tourist destinations in foreign ports will not be easily accessed

7 hours ahead of Central Time Zone

8 hours ahead of Mountain Time Zone

9 hours ahead of Pacific Time Zone

WEATHER

July and August are the warmest months. The average highs are in the 80's, lows around 65.

CURRENCY

France, Italy and Spain all use the Euro. You will be able to exchange US currency for Euros (and Euros for US currency) onboard the ship at Guest Services. There will be ATMs at the ports which will dispense Euros. Most are part of the Cirrus and Plus networks

Most retailers will accept Visa, MasterCard, Traveler's Checks and American Express. It is recommended that you use one of these methods for payment for most of your purchases

SAFETY

Pickpockets are fairly prevalent in Europe. Consider the following safeguards:

  • Money Belts worn under your garments
  • Purses with zippers on all of the compartments
  • Wallets carried in deep front pockets
  • Keep your Credit and ATM cards in separate areas

PACKING

When flying from the US to Europe, you are allowed 2 checked bags and one carry-on per person. Please check your airline for luggage weight/size restrictions

RELIGIOUS destinations (Basilicas, Cathedrals, Churches, etc) will require visitors to dress appropriately. Neither shorts nor sleeveless tops are allowed.

It is suggested that you bring comfortable, lightweight clothing. The streets may be uneven or paved with cobblestones. Keep this in mind when choosing your footwear.

CARRY ON Luggage should contain your cruise documents, passports, medication, valuables, change of clothes and any other items you feel will need to be easily accessed prior to your checked bags arriving at your stateroom.
