Jambo House

Kidani Village

Jambo House

Jambo House is an African lodge-style resort boasting spacious accommodations that include kitchenettes/kitchens and multi-bedroom units. Featuring over 30 species of wildlife that roam free amidst 4 lush, tropical savannas, Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House offers you the unique opportunity to observe exotic animals in their natural habitat from special viewing areas throughout the Resort—and from the balconies of select Guest rooms.

Jambo House includes 216 rooms on the 5th and 6th floors in the main Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge building. The Resort features authentic African-inspired architecture and the kraal African-village landscape design—a semi-circle design popular in Africa which offers expansive views of the surrounding savanna and its many animal inhabitants. Thatched ceilings, large beams, a woven ceiling, hand-carved golden-tone furnishings, real African artifacts and a vast mud fireplace in the main lobby surround you in the inimitable spirit of Africa.

Just outside the 4-story main lobby, an elevated rock platform—Arusha Rock—offers up close glimpses of the animals and a panoramic view of the sprawling grounds. In addition to animals, thousands of indigenous African shrubs and grasses—including the most recognized canopy tree of Africa, the copperpod—paint a picture reminiscent of the unspoiled grasslands of Africa.

The Sunset Savanna, the Arusha Savanna, the Uzima Savanna and the Pembe Savanna are the 4 savannas located at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Open 24 hours a day, each savanna features a unique look and feel, and is home to different exotic animals. Throughout the hotel, there are alcoves with glass windows that provide views of the savannas.

Kidani Village

Kidani Village is an African lodge-style resort comprised of 492 rooms boasting spacious accommodations that include kitchenettes/kitchens and multi-bedroom units. Featuring over 30 species of wildlife that roam free amidst a 46-acre wildlife preserve that includes 4 lush, tropical savannas. Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village offers you the unique opportunity to observe exotic animals in their natural habitat from special viewing areas throughout the Resort—and from the balconies of select Guest rooms.

The lobby and the villas of Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village extend out and take the curlicue shape of a water buffalo horns. This string of buildings can also be viewed as a piece of native African jewelry, a "necklace" with villas forming the beads, garden-like walkways creating the "knots" in between, and the main lobby building as the ornament or jewel at its center.

Inside, Kidani Village features authentic African-inspired architecture and decorations, from hand carved columns to intricate patterns that adorn the golden-tone furnishings. Tall floor lamps allude to tall, swaying trees, and ornate hanging fixtures appear to overflow with colorful flora and fauna. Thatched ceilings, a woven ceiling, real African artifacts and an arching window in the main lobby revealing the adjacent savanna surround you in the inimitable spirit of Africa.

Just outside the main building, sprawling wetlands border a picturesque landscape where there are thousands of indigenous African shrubs and grasses paint a picture reminiscent of the unspoiled grasslands of the Serengeti.

Nearly surrounding Kidani Village, the Sunset Savanna and the new Pembe Savanna offer up-close glimpses of exotic animals in a traditional setting. Open 24 hours a day, each savanna features a unique look and feel, and is home to different varieties of African animals.
