DISNEYLAND ENTERTAINMENT

CELEBRATE! A STREET PARTY! - Party Music, Balloons, Streamers, Conga Lines and Disney Characters rock through down Main Street in Disneyland’s new interactive parade celebrating…..well celebrating anything you want to celebrate in 2009!

CELEBRATION ROUND-UP AND BARBECUE AT BIG THUNDER RANCH! - Continue your 2009 Celebration with Dinner and a Party at Celebration Round-up. Celebrate Cowboy Style with Disney Characters, Live Entertainment and the Critter Coral.

FANTASMIC! - Presented on the Rivers of America, Fantasmic is an eye-popping and amazing show complete with laser-projected images, fireworks, water-bound floats, music, lighting effects, fog and more! The story follows Mickey as he battles against some of Disney's nastiest villains…but don't worry, in the end good triumphs over evil!

The show lasts 23 minutes and during the summer is presented nightly, with two showings on selected evenings. During the off-season, Fantasmic is only presented on weekends when it is not down for rehab. If it's windy or raining, the show will be cancelled, and an announcement will be made on the PA system in the area.

Because this show is very popular and there is no seating area, staking out a viewing spot is crucial. On crowded days, it's not unusual to see people staking out their viewing spot two hours or more in advance. If there are two showings of Fantasmic when you are there, opt for the second showing if you can - it is generally much less crowded.

Magical Fireworks Show– New for the summer of 2009! All new fireworks celebrating Disney stories and Characters to a new soundtrack. New characters including Peter Pan, Mary Poppins and Pinocchio become part of the magic. Also joining the ‘Nightastic’ celebration is ‘Dumbo’ the flying elephant which makes this new summer fireworks show a must see and even more magical than ever.

Sword in the Stone - Throughout the day in Fantasyland, a boy or girl is selected by Merlin to attempt to pull the Excalibur sword from the stone. Those who succeed are crowned ‘Monarch of the Realm’. Check your daily Guide for times.

Billy Hill and the Hillbillies - Frontierland is the home of the Billy Hill and the Hillbillies. The four brothers name ‘Billy" perform bluegrass music with a touch of comedy throughout Frontierland and on the stage at the Golden Horseshoe Check your daily guide for show times.

Jedi Training Academy  -  The ‘Tomorrowland Terrace’ is the home for the NEW ‘Jedi Training Academy’ Test your Light Saber skills at the new ‘Jedi Training Academy’ located at the Tomorrowland Terrace (check daily schedule for times)  Here, your little Jedi’s will train alongside ‘official’ Jedi’s’ to learn the fine art of light saber fighting.  Once your little Jedi graduates, they will be treated to a ‘real’ test of their skills with the likes of ‘Darth Vader’ himself.  Please be warned that not everyone will be able to participate.  Approximately 15 kids are taken from the audience, so get here early.  The good news is it’s scheduled a few times throughout the day so, if you are not picked, you will be able to try again.
