Where this Disney Adult Came From
Some people discover Disney magic — Mike grew up living it. His earliest memories are of visiting his grandfather in Florida and taking frequent day trips to Walt Disney World with his family, a tradition that made the parks feel like his second home and why Disney Parks remain where he still feels most connected to his family.
What began as childhood wonder blossomed into a lifelong love story. Since those early days, Mike has made hundreds of visits to the parks, explored Disneyland more times than he can count, sailed on multiple Disney Cruises (including his favorite – Alaska), and even explored New York City with Adventures by Disney.
From his home base in the Midwest, Mike shares the magic with his husband — a Disney convert — and their three rescue dogs, who bring the kind of joyful chaos you’d expect from a trio of animated sidekicks.

As a Travel Advocate & Magic Maker
Since 2017, he has had the joy of turning that passion into a career as a Travel Agent with Dreams Unlimited Travel, helping guests discover their own happily‑ever‑afters.
While he loves every Disney destination, Disneyland Resort will forever hold his heart. There’s something about walking where Walt walked, feeling the history in the bricks, and knowing the original spark of imagination still flickers all around the park. It’s also where he made some of his most cherished memories were forged with his late parents. Disneyland Resort is also where you can find his favorite Disney food items!

Outside the Disney universe, Mike is drawn to destinations with big stories and bold scenery — places like Alaska, the forests and lakeshores of Wisconsin and Minnesota (particularly the Duluth area), the Pacific Northwest, and anywhere touched by history or carrying a whisper of the supernatural.
When he’s not planning vacations, you can usually find him writing recipes, delving into podcasts (especially those about cryptids or myths/legends of the Americas), or staunchly defending the Oxford comma (like it’s his own personal side quest).
Some of Mike’s most magical travel moments include:
- Stepping inside Walt’s Apartment and visiting 21 Royal in Disneyland
- Riding the White Pass Railroad through the misty mountains of Skagway, Alaska
- Seeing a pod of Humpback whales “bubble feeding” in Juneau, Alaska
- Wandering the historic pathways of Old Towne San Diego, where the vibrant history and culture feels like a scene from a Disney adventure
- Visiting the Bodleian Library, seeing a first edition of the Complete Works of William Shakespeare at the Oxford University Press, and enjoying pub visits to The Eagle and the Child, just as the Inklings once did
- Experiencing the glowing enchantment of WaterFire in Providence, Rhode Island
- Watching fish soar through the air at Pike Place Market and dining in the Space Needle in Seattle
