 The
1008 rooms at Disney's Port Orleans Resort are 314 square feet each.
A typical room has 2 double beds (or a king-sized bed), nightstand,
telephone, wall mirror, armoire, television, luggage rack, telephone,
ceiling fan, closet area, small table with 2 chairs, and 2 pedestal
sinks with mirrors in a vanity area separate from the tub and commode.
A small key-operated wall safe to hold your valuables, is located
in the closet area. Guests who need to connect to home or work via
the Internet while vacationing will find a computer data port near
the nightstand and you will not have to disconnect the telephone
to use it. There are rooms available with a king size bed, and some
of these will be handicapped accessible with a wheelchair-accessible
shower in place of a tub.
While the rooms accommodate
up to 4 guests, roll-away beds may be requested for siblings who
do not wish to share a bed, (there is a $15 per night charge for
this). Also available are bed boards and bed rails and cribs (the
pak-n-play variety). Call Housekeeping to request. If there are
more than 2 adults in the same room, there is an additional charge
of $15 per person, per night.
The following are available
by calling Housekeeping, but supplies may be limited: irons and
ironing boards, coffee makers (coffee is available for a fee), bottle
warmers, hair dryers, down pillows, extra blankets, extra towels,
International Electrical Adapters, and heating pads.
TIP:For a quiet river view room,
ask for Buildings 1 or 6. The resort is so small, it is a short
walk from any building to get to the food court or pool. If you
would like a particular location, it is best to note it at the time
of booking your reservation.
Check-in is at 3 p.m. and
check-out is 11 a.m. Guests may check in as early as 8 a.m. and
if the room is not ready, store your bags with Bell Services and
head for the theme parks.
